I've avoided blogging about Tiger Woods because I don't want to sound even more priggish than I normally do. I'll just say that the strongest rebuke of Tiger's behavior I've seen or heard was Phil Mickelson hugging his cancer-stricken wife Amy after he won the Masters yesterday. There are more important things in life than success or failure, namely, having someone to share those successes and failures with.
Who would have been there to hug Tiger if karma had failed and he'd won yesterday? His caddy?
Robert Wright, by the way, penned this column for the New York Times which manages to censure Woods without sounding priggish. It's worth reading, especially if you saw the movie The Natural but never read the book. HT.
