And in this dream, I had returned to summer camp. Only the camp was in the basement of the White House. And there, in the cot next to me, was my good friend--Barack Obama! And he was going on and on about something in a hostile tone of voice. In fact, he was being kind of ugly. And I thought to myself, "You aren't the same guy I hung around with at camp last year. You've changed, man. You've changed."
OK, I'm on the couch for the next 50 minutes. I welcome any and all analysis of this dream, Freudian, Jungian, Object Relations, etc., as well as the usual political analysis--Democratic, Republican, Green, Tea, Socialist, Anarchist, etc.
There's a truism in dream interpretation (though I forget where this comes from) that every person in a dream is really yourself. So maybe this expresses some disappointment in yourself, an aspect represented by Pres. Obama. Like, some aspect that was all about hope, change and reconciliation, and has now descended into sniping. (I will leave it to you to figure out what that may be.)
I'm still wondering about the weird dream that I had last night. I was staying with a family that had a small child, and a pet alligator. Like, a pet alligator running loose around the house. At some point it occurred to me, "You know, this is really NOT A GOOD IDEA."
